Now celebrating 600 years of academic excellence, the University is Scotland’s oldest. It remains the most sought after.  Many visitors to St Andrews are pleasantly surprised to find that whilst the famous golf courses guard the entrance to the town, its historic character is underwritten by the ancient university buildings.
